The G3 I'm getting has a scuzzi connector. Is there any chance I could attach
a Logitech gray scale Scanmanscanner, 235 MB external Syquest drive? My Apple
LS LaserWriter needs a serial jack. All these peripherals hark back to the
early nineties.

FYI -- My Laserwriter LS died this summer - purchased 12/1991. I imagine that
would be a typical lifespan for these.

I have a similar machine (Blue G3/400 MHz/SCSI), and have been told not to
attach anything to the external SCSI because it will slow down the entire
chain. I bought/attached an Adaptec PD 2930U card for peripherals, haven't
used it yet but am close to trying a SCSI CD burner.

My turn, will I slow down SCSI by adding a 2nd internal SCSI drive -- a
fast/faster UW2 or 160 variety?
Firewire would be an option (better?) if it is bootable. I am looking ahead
to OS X.

thanks, dave
