My suspicion is that the fan is running normally, so I must become accustomed to the decibels. Since the CD drive doesn't run constantly, I can become used to that also. I've been coping with noise pollution all my life if you consider that I lived most of my life in a matrix of elevated lines and buses in Brooklyn.
