N.B. It;s the hard disk that's making the low level vibration in mine. 
That was cured by putting 2 foam pads under the feet of the G3. As with 
yours mine is on a very solid oak desk (which I love) that tends to 
resonate at low frequencies, it's a sign of a well made desk so I'm 
told :).
