The 450DP uses a daughter card. IIRC, from what limited knowledge of  
the G4s I have (I have never owned on :( ), The two CPUs are soldered  
down but the circuit board they are soldered to is plugged into the  
logic board via a 300-pin grid connector underneath. These can be  
exchanged for other faster CPUs.
