B&W's seem to be flaky about what IDE hard drives you use.
I tried to put a brand new Samsung SV8012H 40 gig in my B&W and
the OS 9 install kept crashing.    It would even give me problems 
initializing.

I also had a 30 gig maxtor (7200rpm) on hand, put that in, everything is fine.
The 40 gig Samsung is fine in Beige G3's, I've put several of them in Beige's 
w/o problems.
