Here's the response I got from NEC about my Silentwriter 95 on OSX. It's pretty discouraging. Someone should fix this.
Dear Richard: The Silentwriter 95 with Mac OS X will NOT work no matter what you do or how you are connected, Mac OS X forces the print job in PostScript Level 3 and the SilentWriter 95 is PostScript Level 2, even using the proper PPD file for this printer will NOT work.
