Ya better partition! Ya better not! Is it
something you should do for 10.1 but not 10.2?
Does the Startup Manager still work without
partitions?

 From Mac OS X: The Missing Manual (for 10.1):
        If you partition, it's much easier to switch
between the two operating systems at startup
time. It's easier to remove or reinstall OS X.
Troubleshooting is easier. OS 9 and OS 10 are
mixed together is the hard drive window (two
applications folders, two system folders, etc.)
if you don't partition.

Now posters are saying that things work better
without partitioning. What to do?
