this might not be the most helpful of suggestions but unless you really HAVE to use Pagemaker I'd seriously consider using Adobe's other offering "InDesign" instead - we're in the process of switching and it's much more reliable --- end of quote --- Thanks for this. I tried it again this evening and it was working normally, i.e. would zoom way out until the page was much smaller than the screen. Why it would not last night is beyond me.
