I have a 7220 here with a PC Compatibility card in it. I am considering
cannibalising it for my beige G3/300 OS 9.1 (updating to 9.2 when I download
the parts and X when I get a G4 ZIF). I have read that the PC card can
overload the power supply on some systems. Would anyone care to comment
before I try this out?

Since you have a /300, you must have an MT.

No problem with the PC Compatibility Card in an MT.

Adding cooling fans in the handle of you MT is a good idea, BTW.

Some generic 12 volt fans of the proper size, with long leads, and an AMP
Mate-N-Lock male connector should do the job nicely.

Wire + to pin 1, - to pin 2.

I'll also be trying these drivers: <http://www.pcsetup2x.com/>

Yes, most definitely get PCSetup 2.

The PC Compatibility Card is useless beyond OS8.5 without it (and it is
useful with OS8.5 only with an unofficial patch, anyway).

I've used PC Compatibility Cards on all my PCI Macs for years. I find that
Windoze on a Mac is much more stable than Wondoze on an Intel.
