I suggest trying to boot with a CD.
If that works, it would indicate
that something is wrong with the 9.2 on your hard drive.

If it does seem to be hardware,
I would try to boot with one stick of RAM.

Also, it is probably worth the effort to
zap the PRAM for 10 chimes.
