Turns out the pre-osX version works fine for any adb or usb mouse, but the X
version requires a Kensington mouse.

It's a very nice control panel, lots of options for speed and acceleration.

I'm hoping the Logitech X software has more controls than the pre-X version that
came with my trackball.
