I recently bought a used G4 450 DP. It came with 9.1, which I have updated to 9.2.2. I also installed 10.1.3 on another partition. Yesterday I swapped out the Hitachi DVD--ROM drive for a Pioneer 105 DVD-R drive. When I boot up in 9.2.2, Apple System Profiler recognizes the drive, and says that recording is supported. I am having two issues:
1. In iTunes 2.0.4, when I try to burn a CD, I get a message in the iTunes window saying that required software or hardware is missing. 2. Apple DVD Player works just fine in 9.2.2. When I boot up OS X, Apple DVD player will launch, but I get an error message saying that this configuration is unsupported. DVD Player then quits. Any suggestions or ideas? While I have never used OS X before, I like what I see. I just know nothing about using it, yet. -- Warren Bowman http://home.attbi.com/~misterbee/ -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
