Hello, I posted a message on this problem a few days ago, and didn't really get any results, so here it goes again. I've got a G3 Molar Mac, Sonnet G4/500, 512mb ram, max vram for the built-in video (6mb), and I've got an annoying problem in Jaguar only. When I start up the computer, or when it comes out of sleep, the brightness and contrast are set at their minimum levels. I have run the configuration setup quite a few times, zapped the pram (scary thing to do with a beige G3), and even changed the pram battery. Everything is fine in 9.2.2, so that seems to rule out a hardware problem, and although I'm not positive, I think this may have started after the upgrade from 10.2.3 a few weeks ago.
Any suggestions, ideas, non-destructive criticism? Thanks, Carl Kehley -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
