well, since apple doesn't make ram, no real reason to pay several times as much for 
ram being resold by apple that was made by someone else according to international 
standards.  most ram is either very good (most of it sold by multibrand vendors) or 
worthless (if poorly designed/made).  i last got g4 ram from micron at crucial.com, 
but at that time they had the best price, they are one of apple's primary ram vendors 
as well as carrying all other variety of ram.  check prices, any "good" ram is good.  
lifetime warranties are a gimmick, though they never hurt ram usually fails nearly 
immediately or never if not abused, so don't worry too much about that, as long as 
they'll provide some guarantee and are well known.  i've gotten a lot of new and used 
ram over the years, i've never had a problem except with some poorly made pc ram long 
ago, and that was new so it was just returned.
