I'm reasonably sure AppleWorks will never be what I want in an Office Suite. I've tried pretty much everything, and the closest before TFO was OpenOffice in X11. Unfortunately, the spreadsheet uses different syntax (which I don't know) and half the functions don't work. Then add into the mix that I'm using PC-style command modifiers and it doesn't integrate well into my mac... I refuse to use MS software. However, the TFO spreadsheet is unusably slow. Not unpleasant, unusable. I click a cell and start typing, and it doesn't happen for several seconds. If I want to select multiple cells I can just forget it. I click one, click the other and usually something happens in between to alter my click. Dangit, Andrew
>Yeah, I ran it on a Pismo 400 too for a while, it does improve on a G4, >don't get me wrong, but it doesn't improve as much as one wants it to. >It certainly would not justify the cost of even a cheap G4 upgrade >card. Its kinda sad as it would be a great alternative to MS until >Apple gets AW7 right ... we hope. -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
