'alwight, apples and pears, whos a cheeky chappie from london brian! thanks for the reply - that was one of my first thoughts as the burner in this thing is pretty fast. i've checked the disks though and they should be cool - they're sony disks guaranteed for 1x to 24x
from the replys i'm getting back from another os x list, it seems to be a problem with the burner itself. major pain, don't want to send the machine back to apple 'cos we need it all the time - but we also really need the cd burner! don't think apple are gonna accept the drive back without the machine... thanks again, jake p.s. like the sign-off 'santa'!! had a new zealand english teacher at my school called joe christmas - he told us this great story from when he was a school that went something like this: the kids all file in to class and the teacher starts to take the register: teacher: bowman? pupil: here sir teacher: brown? pupil: yes sir (think you can see whats coming!) teacher: christmas? pupil: present apparently he never lived it down! makes me smile every time i think about it!
