After Rob sent info for UMAX S900, I put the specs in google and got
this site back. Just in case anybody else is looking for batteries.

For Macs and clones that use a 4.5 Alkaline "square-type" battery, what they're selling for almost $12 can be done a bit cheaper by going to DigiKey (maybe Radio Shack also, and others). A single 3-AA battery holder will cost about $1 before shipping. You supply the 3 AA's.

Cut the wires from the original battery and splice them onto the new holder. You can secure it either to the original location or, depending on the Mac, on top of the old battery with Velcro. After that your only real concern is to replace the batteries perhaps before they die else they leak and ruin your day (and more).
