Target Disk Mode won't work at all on your Beige since you have a FireWire PCI card installed so the drivers have to be loaded first to enable FireWire. And the Target Disk Mode isn't built-in your firmware yet. Check Apple's knowledgebase if you want info about which Macs support this mode.
