Well, first off, it depends on what you mean by 'very crashy'. If you mean 'crash nearly every time I use them', then you have *other* problems with your OS (like networking problems), it's a plain bad OS (most revs of System 7, imo, or point zero OS revs 9.0, 8.0, 8.5 vs 9.1, 8.1 and 8.6), you have underlying filesystem problems, harware problems, or you have a resource-starved system. (memory/processor/diskspace) which will cause *most* things to be crashy.Very well said Mr. Johnson. If an app repeatedly crashes, then look at the whole system. A corrupted application is the easiest kind of problem to fix. Most crashes are system resource or conflict problems.
I'm still waiting for my first Safari crash <knock on wood>, it's been a remarkably stable browser. The latest Mozilla has been trouble free also.
All of the browsers I've ever used (Mosaic, Mozilla, Netscape, IE, Opera, iCab, Safari, Camino, Firebird...off the top of my head) do crash on occasion, and some can even be termed crashy (early Mozilla revs were hugely buggy, as have been some Netscape versions)
If these are crashing a lot stop and think about what you do with your computer...if most of your time is in a browser, then you could have an entirely unrelated system problem. You cannot say this one too often. Look to the basics first.
