Hello, I have a G3/333, Rev C, with an 8.4 GB HD partitioned in 3 and running 9.2.2 on one and 8.6 on the third.
When I upgraded to a G3/500 Sonnet processor. When I boot up on 9.2.2 everything sounds normal. When I boot up on 8.6 it sounds like the HD, or maybe fan, is flying. I looked at System Profiler 2.6.5 and under 9.2.2 Machine Speed it says 500, but under 8.6 Machine Speed reads 501. Anybody ever heard of this and what, if anything, is wrong?
