Well you wont find anything quite like Acid on the Mac but Ableton Live gets pretty close. Sorry if already suggested, I missed the replies on it.
As for a sound editor, its pretty much either Peak or Spark on the Mac. Theyll both fill in as a Sound Forge replacement. Practically the same thing actually. If your used to Acid, Live is your best bet. Me Ive been using Cubase and Logic for years now, but for loop based stuff, I really wish Acid was ported to the Mac. Although Live's tempo matching is pretty damn good..
