The floppy drive in my Beige G3 doesn't seem to work -- I have a PowerMac

All Mac floppies from the SE/FDHD on used the same electrical interface.

I long ago took my Beige G3 MT's floppy bay over for an additional hard
drive. The Beige's floppy cable was replaced by an extender to a 19-pin D-Sub
connector on the rear of the Beige. Into that D-Sub is plugged an external FDHD
from an SE/30.

So, go for it.
