We have a G3 Beige MT (OS 9.1) that is on the fritz and I'm having trouble diagnosing the problem. It runs from a 1.2 GB SCSI HD.
It was having trouble with some JAVA script on a web page in IE 5, so we quit and restarted IT. When that didn't work, we tried rebooting. But then it wouldn't boot up. It hangs at the little smiling Mac. It will reboot from a CD fine. So I've run Diskwarrior, Disk First Aid, and Norton Utilities. DW found and repaired some problems. DFA doesn't find anything. Norton found and fixed some problems, but it hangs and freezes when checking files. So, I low level reformatted the drive and restored with Retrospect. Problem still exists. Insights from anyone?
