Do you have an accelerator with a Cache enabler in your beige? These are a
definite system freezer when you start classic. Try opening the classic
icon in the system prefferences and try starting classic with extentions
off. The option is on the midde tab and there is an option to turn off
extentions when starting classic, IIRC. I am running 9 at work so this is
from memory, but I am pretty sure of the above.
