Sorry if this is a repost, I sent the original about 3 hours ago and have
not seen it show up in my mailbox yet.

I am running Excel 98 and I think a macro is what I need ( or possibly
conditional formatting, but I did not see a hide this row option) for a
cross platform speadsheet (Office 2000 on the other side) that will do the
following. I have tried the online help and a book on using office 2000,
but I am absolutly stuck on how to start, since I can't record what I want
to do.

Here is what I want to do, the numbers may change:

For x=3 to 1300
If cell Bx = 0 or if cell Bx is empty (see note)
        Then hide row x
   end if
Next x

Note: The people using the spreadsheet are not rocket scientists and some
will leave a cell empty if there is no entry and some will enter a 0, and
iirc Excel treats an empty cell different than a 0 value.

I will also need to write something that will undo the above. ie. show all
rows. I have recorded a macro to show all rows. I then created a toolbar
button and assigned the Macro to it. When I click on the button, Excell
says that the Macro cannot be found, but when I use the keyboard shortcut
it works fine.

I know this is probably very simple to do, I just can't figure out how to
start.

Thanks for any help and please respond off list.
