You don't say what computer you're using. I have 9.2.2 on a lombard powerbook with no problems. Appleworks 6.04 works just fine. My 7500 upgraded to a G3 can only use 9.1.

The last time I upgraded beyond OS 9.1, back whenever OS 9.2.1 was released,
I completely lost the ability to run Office 2001 apps, as well as AppleWorks
6.x (whichever was the current AW version, at the time). Also, at the end of
my current d/l of the OS 9.2.1 upgrade (just prior to composing this
e-mail), I get an error message saying "the OS 9.2.1 update could not be
used because error -127 occurred." When I clicked OKAY, the error kept
coming back, to the point that I had to force a reboot.

I've yet to d/l the OS 9.2.2 upgrade, and I'm holding off on running the OS
9.2.1 upgrade, until I know I'll still be able to use my Mac when I do
upgrade. I've d/l'd some Office 2001 updates, from the Microsoft Mactopia
web site...if those will be of any help. Lastly, although the latest version
of MSN Messenger says I need OS 9.2.2, can I get away with using it in OS
9.1, or would there be an earlier version of Messenger, somewhere, that I
can d/l instead?
