On a Beige, all it takes is a DVD-ROM drive and a Radeon 7000 card on the
hardware side.

On the software side all it takes is a hacked copy of Apple DVD Player.

On a 9600, all it takes, in addition to the above, is an UATA card
(UltraTek66 works fine for me) and the Intech CD-ROM/DVD-ROM driver.

The Intech driver is needed to make the simulated SCSI DVD-ROM drive,
which is really an EIDE DVD-ROM drive, look, again, like an EIDE DVD-ROM
drive.
