Sound card needed for ext speakers?

Will I need to add a sound card to use my new set of Logitech Z540 
4.1 speakers on my 450 G4? If so, any suggestions for an inexpensive, 
compatible one? I mainly want to "hear" mp3s and watch dvds in stereo 
from more then 3' away from the computer with a reasonable 
quality/volume. Thanks in advance, on digest mode.

 G4 Audio specs:

*	One input and one output analog minijack supporting 16-bit 
stereo audio; 44.1 kHz sampling rate
*	Built-in speaker
*	Support for external third-party FireWire and USB digital 
audio peripherals such as microphones, speakers
