Am in the market to purchase an External Firewire CDRW for use with various G4 800Mhz eMacs in my school.
I see a recent deal at MegaMacs for an External Firewire Formac 52X CDRW for $96, that includes "Charismac Discribe" software. How does this software compare to Toast? (Bear in mind, I'm a PC administrator with very little Mac experience and no experience with either CDRW application for Macintosh). Our needs are: burning student data to CD, burning VCDs to CD, Burning iMovie MPEGs to CD, and burning (and processing) student performance band audio to CD. Will Charismac Discribe do the trick as well as Toast? Or is Toast (which I seem to hear so much more about these days) the better product?
