Thanks to Leon and Hamlin. Very informational. As relating between B&W
and Beige, I've been informed that a chip is tested at various speeds
for reliability and sold at a stable speed, and one changes the jumpers
to accommodate. I assume the same is true of the B&W and the jumper
setting Leon and Hamlin were kind enough to provide relate to that?
However, what of the 800MHz and 900MHz chips? Also, I know that some
ZIFs specifically for the Beige do not require jumper resetting but
rather jump the jumper altogether;-) I believe that is how Sonnet makes
their 1GHz chip for the Beige whose mobo is only supposed to go to 500
MHz. So, what I am asking is, although for the most part one needs to
change the jumpers on the B&W to change the ZIF speed, are there other
ZIFs that jump the jumpers for a B&W?
Thanks,
Anand
