I am going to purchase a G5. I am debating, with myself, about getting the 1.6 GHz PowerPC or the 1.8GHz PowerPC. Looking over the specs the differences aside from the speed, which is not an important consideration to me, are the HD capacity, also not important, and the memory type.
One uses DDR333 128 bit SDRAM, the other DDR400 128 bit SDRAM. I have no idea if the difference in the type of memory is significant. Is the difference worth $400? I realize one has only 256MB and the other 512MB, but you can buy a lot of memory for $400, if there is no real difference in the two types of memory. Your comments and suggestions will be most welcome. -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
