Folks,

I did an archive and reinstall. I now have to figure out what I need
to trash and/or move to partition 2 so that I have room to do
updates.

The big problem though is I still couldn't get to any of my internet
applications. The guy at tech support at my university, walked me
through going in and logging back on as "root." When I'm in root,
everything works again.

What I need to know now, is how I get the settings from my user
back. I've been trying to create a new user but I'm getting error
messages. I think this may be related to the partition 1 being full
problem. How do I make sure that some files save in the 2nd
partition? I'm still such a novice about understanding how OSX file
structure works, so I don't know how the partitions communicate
and what goes where. I do note that all the default functions like
save and download go into partition 1.

I'm just trying to figure out what to do next.

Anastasia
