and the answer should be yes. If you have ssh access to wherever your web site is located, and the provider has configured apache to allow .ht* files in your web directories then you should have no problem. on most linux systems (and probably others) running apache you should be able to use htpasswd to generate .htpasswd file for you. it may be located in /usr/bin or /usr/local/apache/bin or possibly somewhere else (if it isn't already in your path). you can prolly find what you're looking for at... http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/en/howto/htaccess.html#auth hope all this helps. -nils -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
