A while back, I bought a used Sony ATA CRX140E CD-R/RW
internal IDE drive, and just got around to installing it in
my beige G3, OS9.1. I can use the drive to read disks, but
I can't use it to write onto. What do I need to do?

When I go to Devices and Volumes in Apple System Profiler,
it shows the drive as a CD-ROM. If I put in a CD-R that
has stuff on it (from another computer), I can read the
files, of course, but can't drag and drop new files onto
it. It says the disk is locked.

If I put in a blank CD-R, nothing happens - it doesn't show
up on the desktop.

Do I just need a driver, and if so, where do I get it?

Thanks,

Janice
