I have a Beige G3 that used to be a MT 266 and is now a G4/450 with an OWC Zif upgrade. It has been running 10.2.7 flawlessly. I haven't yet gone to 10.2.8 or Panther.
Has anyone tried this on a Beige G3 with the upgrade processor or does anyone know if Panther will work with this set up?
10.2.8 yes. I'm running it on mine with the same upgrade with no problems since 10.2.8 came out. It's a sweet system.
Panther, No. Ryan Rempel is working on XPostFacto 3.0 which will run under OSX, and allow Panther to be installed on beige G3's but reports on it are mixed right now with the alpha releases in testing.
