Dear List:

I just purchased a new 15" G4 Powerbook with SuperDrive today.
I have an existing Power Mac G4 466 into which I have installed an Airport
card and have set up to be used as a software base station. My Power Mac G4
still connects to the Internet without difficulty, but I cannot get the
Powerbook to connect at all. I am using Sympatico High Speed (DSL) Internet.

Internet Sharing is enabled on my Power Mac G4. An upward pointing arrow
appears in the status bar at the top of the screen to indicate that it is
set up as the software base station. In the "Share your connection from
option", built-in ethernet is selected. Under the "To computers using"
option, Airport is selected.

Internet Sharing is also enabled on my Powerbook. A solid black Airport
status signal appears in the status bar at the top of the screen to indicate
that there is a strong signal. In the "Share your connection from" option,
Airport is selected. Under the "To computers using" option, built-in
ethernet is selected.

When I checked the TCP/IP Pane on the Powerboo! k, Using DHCP is selected.
The IP address is 10.0.2.2. Subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. And finally, the
router address shows 10.0.2.1.

Is there anything else I need to configure?

Roland :)
