I have the same burner in my G3 DT and found the same problem. I had to have the burner in number position on the cable and set to master. Try and see if that helps

I've installed an LG CD-RW in my G3-DT/400 (OC'd 350MHz cpu) running 10.2.8. In the system profiler it see's the drive, actually I installed the Jaguar from it, but it says Disc Burning "Not Supported" Now is that because I haven't installed any burner software like say "Toast" or is this something else?
I just put an LG CDRW in a G3DT/266 under 10.2.8. It also says Disc Burning "Not Supported". But it works with Toast 5.2.1. My 10.2 didn't install any Disk burner software, probably because it knows the G3DT doesn't "need" it.
