OK. I did my research and went on and upgraded to OS X.2.8. The machine works fine but for one little thing. The CD-ROM is very picky about what it will mount. So far it mounts any audio CD. But I need to install M$ Office for X, and the blasted drive will not mount the CD. I tried to install Keynote, but it won't mount that either. It did mount the CD for 9.2.1, though.
So, first, why is it doing this? Second, what's the work around?
