Yep - that's exactly what happened. It occurred just as I had to go to work, so I messed with it when I got home. 9 hours later the power light was still on!

So what I had to do was open the case and disconnect the power block from the mother board and then press that little internal reset switch. It made a cycling sound and then went off. Seems to be working normally now. I wonder what happened?

Oh and to Wilton - the Canon A60 is a great $200 camera if you don't mind 2MP. It is plenty for everyday use
