I have been trying to reply to the helpful responses I have received from the list regarding my attempts to have a Tempo Trio work in my G3 MT Rev C. It was from a fellow lister that I found the information at the bottom of a web page on Sonnet's web site. This information identified that: the Trio is NOT functional w/Rev C G3's, that they are working on a fix. So, wanting to believe what I read, I sent Sonnet's Customer Service Department an email requesting that I be placed on any list which may be forming for a firmware update, or driver update. The response I would quote, except that there is a disclaimer attached forbidding the posting of quotes (IN either part or whole) to mail lists and forums. I will abide that request. My paraphrased recollection of the content is as follows: 'If you bought the card recently, return it to whomever you did so, as we do not have a fix, and I can't tell you when we will have a fix. This is the reason we posted the note on the web page, so consumers would be forewarned and not bug us to fix something we have no intention of fixing', or words to that extent. I'm OK with the whole 'buyer beware' concept, but I would have thought that if they were going to post information on their website warning people about a hardware incompatibility within a subset of a group of computers that they claim the card works in, they would not place it at the bottom of a long list of driver/firmware upgrades for many other cards in addition to the one that the problem exists. Am I being silly to think they would chose to be more up front on this issue? Thanks again to all who sent their kind assistance. Since the card is not recognized (as either SCSI or ATA) I cannot attempt their driver upgrade. Jim -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
