Are you for real? An electron microscope to reconstruct the data bit by bit? I personally am using a cold-fusion powered G5 iPod.

In the search field for documents type in unerase OSX - you should find an article dedicated to data recorvery in OSX - Norton Utilities is the standard software for correcting a host of problems... I have a friend who is a Hard Drive detective, and he recommends Norton for most problems... even if you have done a low level format on your drive, and reset all the data to zero's... apparently the data is still there, and can be easily recorvered with the right Norton Utility...

PS: My friend actually goes so far some times as to scan the HD with an electron microscope and reconstruct the data bit by bit, now that's expensive!
