Hello All, I have been using OS 10 on my G4 DA for about a year and half, but I am finally going (read: trying) to do an install on my daughters Beige G3s. It will boot from the CD ( v10.2), after some weird signal out of range message. It gets to the welcome and install screens, starts to load the installer packages the and then goes OS X black with text and the error message:
"uninstaller unexpectedly quit" (exit code 0 ) "please restart" And you can restart it with text "restart" and enter Have done the Apple SCSI update, CD is master, hard drives are master. I am going to install OS X on a separate 7.9 Gig partition of an 18 Gig SCSI drive. Hardware on both is: 300 MHz Beige G3 784 Mb Ram Rev C Rom Current OS 9.2.2 Any Ideas what is up. I haven't done this install yet because I did not want the frustration. But with the girls working on my G4, they would like the options OS X provides. Help If you can. Thanks -- Wade A.
