Hi all, I bought a flashed radeon 7000 64MB on e-bay for a beige G3 MT looking for better video performance. The install went without a hitch but one observation I notice is that the frame rate in iTunes visuals is much slower than it was with the stock video (very choppy 5-8 with the Radeon vs smooth 15-20 stock, both at 1152x870). I did get what seemed to be better video in some games I tried quickly but no hard numbers and the VRAM is there because I've got all the resolutions showing up and selectable to the max 1600x1200 with millions of colors that my monitor can display.
I have some more comparisons to make but was wondering if anyone else has noticed spotty performance improvements with these cards. Thanks for any experience or suggestions.
