One slight drawback of Toast 6 is that you can no longer burn bootable disks, at least according to Roxio:

How can I make a bootable CD in Mac OS X?

The information in this article applies to:

Toast 5.X Titanium
Toast 6.X Titanium

On the following Operating Systems:

Mac OS X

Resolution

Toast does not have a function where you can create a bootable OS X CD but there are several 3rd party utilities on the web that can create a bootable CD image that Toast can burn.

Only in Toast 6 - A bootable CD for OS 9 cannot be made directly from OS X, and Toast 6 only runs in OS X.

Only in Toast 5 - You must be booted in OS 9 (not classic mode in OS X) if you want to create an OS 9 bootable CD.

If you have an unsupported CD/RW or DVD/RW you can probably add "native" support for burning in Panther for Disk Utility, iTunes, etc. at:

Do a site search for slightly simpler Jaguar instructions, or perhaps try the freeware program PatchBurn 1.1 for Jaguar or PatchBurn II for Panther:

This is for the "english" version, but this page is in German, so click the red "heir" for the download.
