This is the stuff I've been hunting for. After we discussed it last time(the length of the pin on the "plaintalk" mic) I didn't correctly understand that it was about a preamp for the "plaintalk" mic. That's when I went hunting for sound editors for PC and Mac. We've had success, albeit a bumpy learning curve, with recording albums to CD in Mp3 and now are thinking about voice recording with a mic for reading books to CD. I'd like to get this step down using a popular freeware and mic like the "plaintalk" from Apple so I could explain to anyone how wants to learn...just how to do it.(step by step) Has anyone seen a website where someone has done this? I know a music librarian who would love to know of one and is now trying to get me to create one for her. Again, thanks for the info everyone.
