can mirror your screen to a TV but if I put a s-video camcorder or
s-vhs recorder on the IN can I capture it when I am looking at it or
only watch it.
Does anybody know more PLEASE : ]

Sorry this hasn't been answered yet. It's been covered recently and some of us
have been away. Besides, it's a copmplicated, undocumented and sometimes
discouraging topic.

So. There were three wings cards, the audio and two A/V versions. The second
a/v version was called the DVD card since it had hardware decoding of DVDs built
in. That's the one I have and struggled for months trying to make video in work
for me. Turns out, no way. IT requires the Rev 3 motherboard (I have rev 1)
and NO additional video card to work at all. However that version of the card
is supposed to have a superior audio chip, so I keep it anyway. Video out works
fine, though for me, the function is replicated on my Radeon video card. The
first a/v card should work on most Beige machines, unless you have added a video
card. Might work even if you have, I don't know. But it is capable of only
fairly low resolution video in.

Anyway,it turns out that the technology has long passed the a/v cards. Beige
computers are perfectly capable of professional level video work if you add
firewire, a faster processor and a digital camera or analog or video converter.
I do high end editing on by Beige MT and burn DVDs too. The results are superb.
But there is an investment to be made.

The driver for your a/v card is the Apple Video Player. I can't tell you much
about it since I never got it to work. You can download it on the Apple site
and see if your set up is convivial.

There has been extensive discussion of this issue on the list and you might be
able to see these messages in the archive.

I hope this is a little help anyway.
