I pulled a stick of RAM out of a PC that wasn't working, intending to put it in the only functioning PC desktop I have left, when I opened that machine up to see how much RAM was in it already, I found to my surprise that both chips (one 256MB, one unlabelled) have chips on both sides, leading me to believe that I could cram one of them in my G3 and pop the one from the dead PC in the working PC to replace it, because I don't use it much.

I'm currently running OS 10.2 with 512MB and a 900MHz PowerLogix CPU in it, 256/128/128/0 in the bays. Would there be any noticeable performance increase if I swapped out one of the 128s for the 256, or just put the 256 in on top of anything, or am I already at the performance plateau?

As the PC is running XP, there's no question *it* needs all the RAM I can give it, but I don't really care that much if I'll get a noticeable improvement by putting the RAM in my G3 instead...

So, is it worth it to add even more RAM to the G3?
