For the last 4-5 months I have been deprived ..... deprived of OSX. I've had lots of problems with my MB in my Beige G3MT. I finally got a replacement today and now I want to reinstall system 10 without losing all the stuff that I had installed. Like my bookmards and mail and other stuff.
I don't know what to throw away. I also would like to start buiding the system from 10.1 and up cause I think there are some pieces missing. I can't do this cause the system disk for 10.1 says there are newer compnents and it can't overwrite them.
What can I do to get a new system on there starting fromthe beginning since there is no way to do a clean install, I think.

The problem I have is my 10.2 is and update install, not a complete system 10. So I have to install 10.1 to get some of the basics that are missing.
And again it won't install over the newer update (10.2.6). That is why I am looking for a way ditch whatever is necessary.

I had a similar experience here. I moved a 40GB IDE drive from a Beige G3 DT to an AIO. I did not remove any files or format the drive. It started the AIO just fine without any problems. I think that by that time I had Jaguar on it already.
