Hi,

MB, Os 9.2.2 with 9 & 120 MB HD's?

Is there another popular brand that is is reasonable AND
reliable?<

I got the Pioneer DVR-107D, got the last one in town,
they are VERY popular ...

I have the same Mac as you, only difference: a third 18
gig UW-HD, I'm happy with the Pioneer so far. Works
nicely with Toast Titanium but I didn't try if it boots
from a CD.

You'll have to download a patch (I got it from OWC
IIRC)for CarbonLib so the beige sees it correctly.

There is a rumour that you'll be able to flash it to
two-layer writing later. Wouldn't that be great?

I read a test of it in a German mag lately, they were
very enthousiastic. The drive seems to read/write even to
very poor quality DVD-Rs and RWs.

Bye, Jrg.
