Hi All - Apologies for the long tome.
With a Pioneer 106 fitted in place of the stock Matsushita in my Beige G3/300 running 10.2.8. it sees it as a Superdrive - OK with Toast 6, iTunes etc.etc. The drive's DV+RW and DV-RW, but I've heard Jag will only write to DV-R & DV-RW. Is this correct?

Also, it's got a Belkin 5-port (4Ext 1 int) USB-2 card with a USB 2 hub added so I can run a scrollwheel optical mouse (still use the ADB keyboard though) - & I've got a Coolscan V on order for my trannies & negs.

Funny thing is, on the rare times I use 9.2.2, System Profiler reports everything that's there, but Jag's profiler reports 6 x PCI slots:
A1 = Atto ultra-scsi card (correct) -
B1 = USB card (this is repeated three times)
C1 = Video card (correct)
F1= ATI Mach (that's MoBo video, I believe)

USB Information reports "No USB devices found" yet it happily connects thru my ADSL USB modem and happily responds to the USB mouse.

Bus only gives the 80GB HD (MacHD3) on the MoBo's 2nd ATA port, and the Pioneer on the other ATA Bus.
No mention of MacHD1 and MacHD2 (I know, really original) on the Atto card, yet the first tab (System Profile) cheerfully reports Boot Volume is MacHD2 18Gb but in Devices and Volumes - nary a trace of it.

What gives with Jag's profiler? Why is it so vague & imprecise compared to 9.2.2's?

Any advice to stop me being confused would be appreciated, although as it all seems to work, I don't suppose it's vital.

Thanks

Ted
